Race for equal healthcare

Feeling guilty for overindulging during Lockdown? Wanting something else to talk about on your team calls? Feeling like you want to do something good to make a difference in support of equal healthcare?

If you answered yes to any of these then why not get involved and help us make a big difference this year, all while having fun, getting fit and helping others.

Run, jog, walk, cycle, scoot or wheel yourself over a 10km distance during Summer 2021 in our '10k for 10k' challenge, and help us raise £10,000 and reach 10,000 signatures to receive a government response to our petition. Take part and put your best foot forward in our fight for equal healthcare.

With Summer in full swing, bright mornings and beautiful evenings, why not get your daily steps in all while being sponsored for a fantastic cause? Whether you’re out enjoying the sun, going for a run or even on the treadmill during your lunch break, get friends, colleagues and family involved and enjoy a bit of friendly competition.

Cancer Education UK runs solely on government grants and the help of our generous volunteers, as well as donations from our amazing Charity Ambassadors. In order for us to continue successfully supporting cancer patients and their families, run more awareness classes to educate the community, run support events where others can share their experiences and deliver support packages to hospitals throughout London, we need to raise £10,000 to help fund these fantastic initiatives.

We are also petitioning for other types of skin-coloured prosthetics to be readily available to people with darker skin tones and ethnic minorities. We have researched and liaised with the NHS and Healthwatch as well as cancer patients from Black, Asian and other minority backgrounds and feel the absolute need to tackle these inequalities in healthcare and help make the change for good.

In order to take forward the initiative and involve government participation, we need 10,000 signatures on the petition. We would love your help by completing your 10k, raising £10,000 and helping us achieve the 10,000 signatures we need.

Join our journey in creating awareness of the issue to drive change: sign our petition today, get sponsored for your 10k in July and help us spread the word.
