Benefits of complementary therapies
Some people with cancer may consider complementary therapy in addition to standard cancer treatment. For some, it can help reduce the side effects of cancer treatment. But this needs to be discussed and agreed by your health care team before you proceed.
Reflexology is a non-invasive complementary health therapy that can be effective in promoting deep relaxation and well being; by reducing stress, optimising good health and building resilience.
It is a touch therapy, working different points on the feet, lower legs, and hands which correspond with different areas of the body. The reflexologist simply works those affected areas with their fingers, which helps to re balance the senses and therefore aiding relaxation and wellness.
Please note: During the current Covid-19 period, we will not be giving patient therapies because it is not regarded as safe where immune levels of cancer patients are lower. However, if the situation improves, we will communicate this back to you.. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please contact us below.
